My heartfelt congratulations to all who worked behind a website for the natives of one of the most beautiful villages in Kerala. The site has given glimpse of all important historic monuments in and around Haripad. However, as we all know, there are a handful of personalities who were given birth here who glorified the charm and fame of our village. Haripad Ramakrishnan(Kathakali), Sreekumaran Thampi(Film Director),P.V.Thampi(Novelist) , Dr.M.G.Radhakrishnan(Karnatic vocalist) etc are few among them.
Plus , Haripad-ers must remember about the great sanskrit literary work of Kerala Varma Valiyakoyi Thampuran (He penned Mayoorasandesam) while he was on confinement, imposed by Travancore Maharaja) -(i live close to the palace like architectural wonder built for his confinement).
I would like to request all Haripaders who are out to earn livelihood and are forced miles away from our beautiful tiny village to come to this platform to share our feelings towards our mother land.
