Karuvatta

Karuvatta is a village located in the north part of Haripad.  Kauvatta lies on the borders of kuttanad,which is known as the rice shed of kerala .

Karuvatta has a railway station as well as good road connectivity as the NH 47 passes through it. Mannarashala Nagaraja temple is around 4 km away.  Boat race or [[vallamkali]] is the main attraction of Karuvatta and it is conducted every year as a part of onam celebrations. Most of people staying in this area engaged in agricultural field.

Karuvatta is well-know for its communal harmony. There are so many temples, churches and mosques in this small village.  Thiruvilanjal Durga Devi Temple and Karuvattakulangara SreeKrishna Temple is the main among them. Sree Narayana Dharma Seva Sangham, Kannukalipalam is known as the second Shivagiri. Three more ‘Guru Mandirm’ are there in Karuvatta. Golok Ashram is famous among spiritual-oriented people. The major churches are Mar Yakoburdana orthodox church and Karuvatta Marthoma Church.

Karuvatta N.S.S Higher Secondary School has established (then, the NSS High School) before eighty five years and has a better position in quality education. It has from Fifth Standard (grade) to Plus Two course including an English Medium Batch. .
