Haripad Revenue Tower to Function

The Construction work of Haripad Mini civil station aimed at occupying main Government offices at one place is completed. Inauguration is expected to be in the second week of June. The expected cost of construction by Housing Board was 20 crores. The decision to place Government offices in the mini civil station is taken by LDF Government. Earlier, Housing board planned to collect money from private commercial institutions by providing operating space in the building.

The seven floor building in 60000 square feet is completed within the expected expense of 20 crores. 22 Government Offices will be functioning in the Revenue tower. All Government Offices now working in private buildings will be replaced to Revenue tower. Sub Treasury and Supplyco super market will occupy the ground floor. The first floor will take up Motor Workers Welfare District Office, Thaluk Election office and Thaluk Supplyco Office. Second floor will occupy Sub Registrar Office, Haripad Village office, Child welfare Office, Labour Office, Coir Inspector office and Assistant Public Prosecutor Office. The third floor is fully alloted for Karthikapally Thaluk Office. Fourth floor occupies Thaluk industrial office and Coperative Assistant Registrar Office. In the fifth floor, Resurvey Office, Water Authority Sub Division Office, Food Security Department Office and Dairy Development Board Office will function. Sixth floor will be alloted for Assistant Agriculture Director Office, Income Tax Office and Excise Circle Inspector Office. Seventh floor will be a Conference Hall. Building is equipped with lift facility and ramp facility for differently abled persons. The 60000 square feet building lacks Parking facility according to standards set by Building Construction Act.
