Pandavan Rock


Pandavan rock derives its name from the Pandavas in the epic Indian tale of Mahabharata. This is situated at a distance of 1 km from Chengannur Railway Station. It is believed that Pandavas stayed in the cave at the time of their exile. Tourists climb to the destination. The popular Kallada Dam is also visible and people can take a small detour to enjoy the dam. A foot print of Rama is still believed to be existing in the southern slant of the rock which is one of the attractions to this place. This place is located not in the bus route. After reaching the place Tourists have to take a walk to the destination.Distance from Haripad to Pandavan Rock Chengannur is 23 km.
